Departure is from your port of call with your driver and your requested language speaking guide to Bayeux by freeway.

You will first arrive Down Town Caen, right in the middle of William's Castle. Built around 1060 by William the Conqueror to house his residential palace, Caen Castle is one of the largest fortified enclosures in Europe. In turn, fortress, barracks and now a cultural crossroads with a wealth of monuments dating back to the Middle Ages: The Dukes of Normandy's exchequer rooms (12th century), the church of Saint Georges (12th to 15th century).

From the Chateau your guide will describe St Peter Church, built between the 13th and the 16th centuries; this church exhibits a transition of styles: High and Flamboyant Gothic gives way to Renaissance. Boasting a superb 14th century church tower, measuring almost 240 ft. Then a short drive to Abbey for Men and St Etienne Church visit including a nice walk through City Hall garden.

Then, you will be on your way to Beuvron en Auge offering timber-framed houses and a 12th-century church. The small village of Beuvron is on the top list of the nicest one hundred villages of France. Before heading back to your port of call. After a very enjoyable walking tour your driver and guide will drive you to Calvados Drouin distillery for a visit with Calvados, Cider, Pommeau tasting and also the 3 local cheeses: Camembert, Livarot and Pont l'êvéques. After this very intensive day, you will head back to the ship.
