Departure is from your port of call with your driver and an English speaking guide to Rouen by freeway.

Upon your arrival in the Capital of upper Normandy, you will start by a walking tour from St Maclou Church and Saint Maclou’s Aître, a central square enclosure which was originally a cemetery tracing back to 1348 during the black plague period.  The bus will stop close by La Halle aux Toiles , 5 minutes walking distance and, also where bathrooms are available. Later, it has been used as an ossuary and nowadays it is used by the school of architecture.
From that amazing site, you will walk to the Cathedral; via rue St Romain sided by local antique shops. Your guide will lead you inside the Gothic cathedral built from 12th to 16th century, where some of the Dukes of Normandy are buried. This monument has been immortalized by Monet and his fellow impressionists.
Passing along the Tourist office square to Jeanne d’Arc church via the Gros Horloge (big clock tower) you will discover Palace of justice. Walking on old cobblestone requires good and comfortable shoes. Arriving in Joan of Arc square, your guide will take you to the stake where she was sentence to death and burned in 1431, and then you will have 1.30 hour free time for souvenir shopping and lunch on your own before gathering together to board the bus and drive to Fécamp.

The driving time from Rouen to Fécamp lasts 1.30 hour, arriving in Fécamp framed by the highest cliffs in Normandy; Fécamp first appeared during Roman times as a fishing village under the name Fiscanum. In the 10th century, the Dukes of Normandy made the city one of their capitals. In front of their palace, they founded Holy Trinity Abbey, where your guide will reserve you a surprise. As the second great Norman pilgrimage site after Mont Saint Michel. In the 19th century, Fécamp turned its attention to the Newfoundland fisheries. Cod joined that other prize catch: herring and smoker complex where built. Upon arrival in Etretat your guide will takes you on a walking guided tour to the chalky white cliffs and famous "arch and needle", one of the most photographed landscapes in all France. Some free time to purchase souvenir on the way back to the bus.


This tour is available as 2 half days, Rouen only or Fécamp Etretat. For the Fécamp/Etretat half day we recommend the Bénédictine distillery museum fee is not included. This is a quite physical visit with a lot of walking. (About 3 miles, 4.5 km in total) This tour can be reduced to 9 hours under conditions, such as the Port of call.
